COMMUNITY GROUPS

Where people connect to God and one another.

Being in a Community Group is a great way to experience God with other people who are on a similar journey!  We meet in some of the homes of our congregation to study His word and grow in our connection to God and in community.  Our community group leaders understand what it’s like coming for the first time to someone’s home you may not know so here’s some information that may help you know what to expect.

We hang out

Our groups have an agenda!  It’s to connect to one another.  We get to know each other as we look to understand God’s Word and how God uses us differently but collectively in our church.  Some groups do snacks and some do a meal together.  All of our groups meet with a purpose to share life together.  Just know there is always spot for you on the couch.

We talk and ask questions

Our curriculum is sermon based. What that means is the sermon from the Sunday before is what we talk about during the week. Our main goal of this time is to establish clear application based on the biblical proclamation from the sermon. What this means for you is you don’t need a bible degree or even be a christian to come to one of our groups and explore who God is and what that means for us. It’s a conversation, so questions are encouraged. This brings a “we are all in this together” vibe to our groups. You can also come just to listen in and see what’s it’s like.

We care

We care for each other. How? We pray and we back up those prayers with actions.  We care about our city. How? We serve and meet different needs throughout our neighborhoods, city and county.

You are invited!

We’d love to have you check one out! If you like information on times and locations, or have any questions please e-mail Info@gvcsb.com or simply call  (805) 967-4113.
